Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical Company (Petro Rabigh) is a Saudi Arabian joint stock company founded in 2005 as a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical. It operates an integrated refining and petrochemical complex in Rabigh, manufacturing and selling refined and petrochemical products; its public materials describe it as one of the world’s largest integrated refining and petrochemical facilities, with production capacity of 18.4 million tons per annum of petroleum-based products and 2.4 MTPA of ethylene and propylene-based derivatives. The company also notes the Rabigh Plastics Technology Complex as a private industrial complex for downstream conversion projects and a Sumitomo-run technical center for plastics processing support.
